Your right to erasure
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), you have the right to request deletion of your personal data at any time. We will honour every verified request within 30 days.
What gets deleted
When your account or data is deleted, we permanently remove:
- Your account credentials (email address, phone number, name)
- All bio data documents you created
- All photos you uploaded
- Your session and authentication tokens
- Any draft or saved bio data
Anonymous, aggregated analytics data (which cannot be linked back to you) may be retained for service improvement purposes.
How to delete your data
Option 1 — In-app deletion
Account deletion from within your profile settings is coming soon. Once available, you will be able to delete your account and all associated data in one click.
Option 2 — Email request
Send an email to hello@designmybiodata.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”. Include the email address or phone number linked to your account so we can verify your identity.
We will acknowledge your request within 72 hours and complete deletion within 30 days, sending a confirmation email once done.
Google sign-in users
If you signed in using Google, deleting your Design My Biodata account removes all data we hold about you. This does not affect your Google account in any way — we have no ability to modify or delete your Google account.
To also remove the app's access to your Google account, visit myaccount.google.com → Security → Third-party apps with account access and revoke Design My Biodata.
